Custom Automation Rule Questionnaire

In order for us to create custom automation rules for your school we need answers to the questions below.

Keep in mind, you might need to create multiple rules in order to accomplish your school's automation goals.  

For example, you might want to place all students with a failing grade back to specific locations.  This would be one rule.

You might then want to place any remaining unscheduled students back to their advisory.  This would be another rule. 

Please copy the questionnaire to the text editor of your choice, fill it out and paste it into a support ticket.  If you have multiple rules, you would do this process multiple times.

Questionnaire

• What days will the automation run and and what days will be scheduled?
  • YOUR ANSWER: 
  • Examples:
    • Run On Mon, Wed & Fri and schedule for those days
    • Run on Tues and create appointments for Wed and run on Thurs and create appointments for Friday
    • Run on "Blue" or "White" days and create appointments for the next 7 school days

• What time of the day should this run?

• What period(s) will this run for.  In order to answer this, log on to Enriching Students, go to Admin, Manage Period and determine which periods you want scheduled

• Which students should be scheduled?

  • Examples:
    • All students
    • All unscheduled students
    • All students who are getting a D or worse in Math or Science
    • All the Freshman & Sophomores
    • All Freshman that are getting an F in English
    • Student getting an F in any class and they have an Enrichment or Club appointment, as defined by the appointments types in your school

• Where will the students be placed
• YOUR ANSWER
  • Examples
    • Students should be assigned to a specific staffer
    • Students should be placed back to their advisory
    • Students should be placed into the course where they are receiving a failing grade
    • Place students, round robin fashion, into one of three different locations

Items to Consider

• Are you using grades as a criteria for scheduling students
• If so, you will need to ensure that:
  • You are importing grade data into Enriching Students
  • The grade data includes the staffer associated with the grade

• Are you looking to place students into their advisory
  • Have you set up Homebase Groups (Admin, Manage Homebase Groups)
  • Are all students in a Homebase Group?
