This page allows you to set the window of time you would like to freeze or unfreeze appointments for each day of the week. A frozen appointment is one that cannot be changed once it is made. In this context, an 'open' appointment is one that is not frozen.
To access this page go to Admin > Configuration > School Settings > Freeze Appointments Adjustor > and select Go To Freeze Appointments Adjustor.
By default, appointments will not be frozen for any day of the week, set to Open All Day Long. To freeze appointments for the day, select Frozen All Day Long.
You can also choose to have appointments frozen or open within a specified time slot. To have appointments frozen all day but open for a certain amount of time, select the Open Between option, and then choose the times for your window.
To have appointments open all day, but frozen for certain amount of time, choose the Frozen Between option, and set the start and end tie for your window.
Be sure to click Save for these settings to go into effect.
How Does this Impact Student Self-Scheduling?
Primarily, freezing appointments affects staffers and means that they cannot change an appointment once it has been scheduled.
These settings only affect students when they are currently able to self schedule. For example, if your self-scheduling is enabled for Monday between 8 and 10 AM, and you freeze appointments from 11 AM to 2 PM, this will not impact students. If you want students to not be able to change appointments once they've scheduled themselves, make sure your appointment freezes are lined up with the students self scheduling window.
