If you would like to transfer files to Enriching Students using SFTP, please open a ticket. We will respond with your SFTP credentials.
(Please Note: While FileZilla is a well-supported and widely recognized solution for Linux Desktop and Windows, it is simply used for demonstration purposes. You will need to determine which GUI client best serves your needs. FileZilla can be downloaded at www.filezilla-project.org)
At the Home Screen, you can select File > Site Manager
From here, you choose the New Site button and give a name to the connection you are creating. For our example, we are entering “es500sftp”.
In the right-hand pane, you will enter the following:
- For Host: schoolsftp.enrichingstudents.com
- For Port: 22
- For Protocol: SFTP – SSH File Transfer Protocol
- For Logon Type: Normal
- For User: <provided>
- For Password: <provided>
Once you have entered or selected the values provided, click the OK button. The box will disappear, but the values are saved in the Site Manager.
Now you can re-select File > Site Manager (or the small down-arrow below File) and, with the new entry highlighted, click Connect. (Note: If you chose to “Not Remember Your Password”, you will need to re-enter it here.)
You should now be connected to the Enriching Students SFTP site, as indicated by the messages in the top pane, highlighted in the Figure 5. (Note: You may receive a warning message regarding the authenticity of the site the first time you connect. This can be ignored)
At this point, you use the left-hand pane to navigate to the directory that contains the files you would like to export to Enriching Students.
Now, drag-and-drop the file you want to transfer from the left, directly onto the remote folder. When you do, you will get a message that indicates the file was successfully transferred. This can be seen under the “Successful transfers” tab at the bottom, which will now have a number that will be incremented each time there is a successful upload.
