An Adjusted Offering refers to a custom course you set up in Enriching Students. This course replaces your Subject Matter course for specific periods or days. This allows you to offer special courses for students, and make adjustments to the title, seat count, availability and more.

SECTION 1
Create an Adjusted Offering
Start by selecting Adjusted Offering in the navigation. This page will display a list of your adjusted offerings with the date it will occur on, the period, and Details with the Offering name, Max Students allowed, Appointment Type, Room Number location, and Description.
Create a New Offering
Note: If you have an Admin account, you can create offerings for other staff members. To do so, before you create a new offering the first step would be to choose the staffer you want from the Select Staffer dropdown.
To create a new offering select the Create Adjusted Offering button.
On this page you can set up your adjusted offering. Start by setting up the date and period. The Repeats dropdown is set to Never by default, which means this offering won't repeat and will be set for just one day. To create multiple offerings, called an Adjusted Series, see Section 4. As you set your Adjusted Date and Select Period, you will see courses show up in the Courses for Selection box. These are the subject matter courses that your adjusted offering will be replacing. In the example in the image below, since one date and period are selected, there is one course that this adjusted offering will replace. You can see that there are 0 appointments for the course. If appointments have already been scheduled to your subject matter course and you create an adjusted offering for the same date and period, those students will simply be automatically scheduled into the adjusted offering.
Next you can set up Blocked Graduation Years. If you want to prevent students in certain graduation years from requesting, scheduling, or being scheduled into this offering, select one or more graduation years in the dropdown. Click on a year again to de-select it. This field is not required.
Now type in the Offering Name. This will replace your subject matter course name for the selected date and period. Then add the Max Number of Students. This is number can't be lower that your default max number of students, unless you are an admin user. For example if you have a set seat count of 20, you couldn't make this number 15. You could set it to 20 or higher. But if you are an admin user, you will be able to adjust the seat count to be lower than your default, or another user's default. Next, select the Appointment Type that best fits, and the Offering Room that students will need to go to for this offering.
You can optionally add a Virtual Meeting Link. If this adjusted offering will be happening virtually, you can copy and paste in your Zoom or Google Meet link. When students are scheduled to this offering, they will be able to click the link and join your meeting.
Next you can set some permissions. You can prevent student from scheduling themselves into this offering by checking the Block Self Scheduling box. This will remove the ability for them to self-schedule, but they will be able to make requests for this offering. Next you can check Block Other Staff Scheduling, if you want to prevent other staffers (besides admin users) from scheduling students to this offering. The third option is that you can choose to Lock Appointment Type. This means that when any user schedules a student into this adjusted offering, they won't be able to change the appointment type. For example, if you created a series for Enrichment and selected this option, another staffer wouldn't be able to change the appointment type to Credit Recovery when scheduling a student.
The next option is to Prevent Student Requests for this course. This will prevent students with appointment requesting permission from requesting an appointment for this course. Next, optionally you can add a description of the course by typing where it says 'comment...'.
When you are done setting up your adjusted offering select Save.
SECTION 2
View Adjusted Offerings
Note: As a site Admin, you can view other staffer's adjusted offerings. In the Select Staffer dropdown at the top of the page above the Bulk Edit button, choose any staffer in the list to view their offerings.
Once you have saved an offering, you will see it listed on the Adjusted Offerings page. To see upcoming offerings, select the Upcoming Offerings tab. To view old offerings, which you cannot edit, select the Historical Offerings tab.
Each adjusted one is listed with the Date, Offering name, Max Students, Appointment Type, Room number, Period, and Description (or comment). To view the description, click on the speech bubble icon (circled in the image below). If an offering is in the future, and you haven't taken attendance for it, you will see an Actions button next to it.
There are 'badges' you may see on your offerings depending if you selected the option to Block Self Scheduling, Block Other Staff Scheduling, or Prevent Student Requests. In the example above, you can see a badge that shows Blocked Student Requests.
If you have created a series of adjusted offerings (see section 4 for how to create them), you will see a badge for Series, as underlined in the image below.
SECTION 3
Edit or Delete an Adjusted Offering
You can edit or delete an adjusted offering if it's on the current day or in the future, and you haven't taken attendance for it yet. If you see an Actions button next to an offering, you can edit or delete it.
Edit a Single Offering
- To edit an offering select Actions, then Edit Offering.
- This will take you to a page where you can make edits to any aspect of the offering except for the Date and Period.
- After you make any edits, be sure to select Save.
Delete a Single Offering
- To delete an offering select Actions, and then Delete.
- This will prompt a confirmation message, see an example in the image below. To delete, select the Delete Adjusted Offering button. If you delete an adjusted offering that has students scheduled into it already, they will be rescheduled into your subject matter course. If you don't want to delete the offering, select the 'X' at the top right of the screen.
SECTION 4
Create an Adjusted Series
Note: If you have an Admin account, you can create offerings for other staff members. To do so, before you create a new offering the first step would be to choose the staffer you want from the Select Staffer dropdown (see image below).
You can set up an offering that repeats across a range of dates, called an Adjusted Series. You could run Robotics series for example, that spans a few months. Each offering within that series could be based off of a different topic related to learning robotics.
Go to the Adjusted Offerings page and select the Create Adjusted Offering button. Creating an Adjusted Series is much the same as creating a single Adjusted Offering, with a few extra steps.
- Set up the dates you want the offerings to occur on. In the Repeats dropdown, instead of selecting Never, choose Daily, Every Other Day, Every Other Week, or Weekly. That is how often the offering will repeat.
- Select your date range. In the example below, this series will have an offering every other week from April 4-29th.
- Choose the weekday or weekdays you want the offering to occur on.
- Choose a period, multiple periods, or All. To de-select a period or weekday, simply click it again.
- Make adjustments to Courses for Selection. These courses show the subject matter courses that correspond to the dates you selected. You adjusted offerings will be taking the place of these. If you don't want to include all of them, you can uncheck the box under Include to preserve your subject matter course for that date.
- Next type in the name for your adjusted series, add room number and appointment type information, and any other details you need for this series. You can adjust the names for individual offerings within the series later. Click Save.
Once you're finished, you will see each offering within your series on the Adjusted Offering page, with a badge for each offering, with the Series name, letting you know that it's part of a series (see underlined in the image below).
If you want to adjust information for each offering, it's easy to do. Learn how to edit or delete a series in the next section.
SECTION 5
Edit and Delete Adjusted Series
You can edit or a single offering in an adjusted series, or the entire series. You can edit or delete if the offering is on the current day or a future date, and you haven't taken attendance for it yet.
You may want to edit individual offerings in a series to change the name, seat count, and more.
Edit a Single Offering Within a Series
- Select Actions and then Edit Offering for that particular offering.
- Change the title or any other information. In this example, the series is a Business Workshop, but one of the sessions will be about Business Math. You could adjust other info like the description, the max number of students -- anything except the date and time.
- Save changes.
Back on the Adjusted Offerings page, you will see that the offering still have the badge that identifies it with the series you created, but it has a new title.
Edit an Entire Series
- Select Actions next to an offering in the series you want to delete, and then Edit Series.
- This will take you to the Adjusted Series Details page, where you will only see offerings in the series that you selected. To edit these offerings, use the Bulk Edit button.
- To use bulk edit, select the options you want to change. This could be typing in a new title, changing the max number of students, and more. Check the box next to the offerings you want to edit, or select the checkbox next to Date to select all offerings (see circled in the image below). You will need to have selected 1 bulk edit option, and at least 1 offering in order to select Save.
Delete a Single Offering in a Series
To delete a single offering that is part of a series, without deleting the series, find that offering on the Adjusted Offerings page. You can also find it as part of the series on the Adjusted Series Details page.
- Select Actions for that offering, and then Delete Offering.
- This will prompt a confirmation message. To delete this one offering within a series, select the Delete Adjusted Offering button. This offering will be deleted, but all other offerings in the series will not be deleted. If you don't want to delete the offering, select the 'X' at the top right of the screen.
Delete an Entire Series
You can delete an entire Adjusted Series from the Adjusted Offerings page, or if you are on the Adjusted Series Details page.
- Select Actions next to one of the offerings within that series. Choose the option Delete Series.
- This will prompt a confirmation message. When you delete a series, only the offerings in the future will be deleted. Any appointments currently scheduled to any of the current or future offerings that are part of the series will be transferred to your subject matter course. To delete the series select the Delete Adjusted Series button. If you don't want to delete the series, select the 'X' at the top right of the screen.
SECTION 6
How to Bulk Edit
To edit multiple Adjusted Offerings at once, you can use the Bulk Edit feature. If you read Section 5 about editing a series, you already have an idea of how this works.
- Go to the Adjusted Offerings page. If you are a site Admin, choose the staffer whose offerings you want to edit in the Select Staffer dropdown. If you are not an admin, you will only see your own adjusted offerings.
- Select the Bulk Edit button.
Bulk Edit gives you the option to change an offering's Name, Max Number of Students, Appointment Type, Offering Room number, which Graduation Years to block, or add a Virtual Meeting Link. You can choose to change whether or not you want to Prevent Student Requests, Prevent Self Scheduling, Block Other Staff, or Lock Appointment Type. If there are existing blocks on Graduation Years you want to clear, or if there is an existing meeting link you want to remove, check the box next to Clear Existing Graduation Years or Clear Existing Meeting Link.
Then, select which offerings you want to edit by checking the box under Date next to the offering name. If you want to select all offerings, check the box next to Date (see circled in the image below). You need to have at least 1 bulk edit selection and 1 offering selected for to be able to save. Once you've selected your offerings, click Save.
All selected offerings will now be edited. Please note, you cannot edit an adjusted offering that has had attendance taken for it, or that is in the past.
