You can see your student's profile page when you log in via our Parent Portal. See how to login here. In this document, we'll give you an overview of what you can see on your child's profile page.
What is the purpose of the Student Profile? This page shows you how your student is being scheduling during their school's flex time. This time might be called Flex Period, Flex Block, WIN Time, (School Mascot) Time, or something similar at your child's school. It's purpose is to help students receive extra support where they need it, access enrichment opportunities, and more. Enriching Students® helps schools manage this time, take attendance for it, and offer reporting data to show how students are using this time.
The Student Profile page will show you the types of appointments students are being scheduled to during flex, what their attendance looks like, any grade data if the school chooses to have grades show in Enriching Students, and any data related to hall passes if the school uses our digital hall pass.
This page has several tabs that show different data, which we'll review below. First, you can setup how you want to view the data.
Select Your View
You can choose to view data on the Student Profile page in a pie chart, or bar graph format. Select the gear icon at the top right of the page, under the Students dropdown menu. Click the option for how you want to view the data presented.
Now let's move on to tabs.
The Overview Tab
The overview tab will show what percentage of appointments were made by a staffer, and which percentage were made by the student. You can choose from a date range of the last 7, 14, 30, 60, 90, or 180 days, or all data from the current school year.
On this page you will see charts showing:
- Appointment Types. View how many types of appointments your student has been scheduled for within the date range. You may see a trend with your student being scheduled for a certain appointment type more than others. For example this could be Enrichment appointments, Intervention, Extra Help, etc.
- Attendance Types. An 'attendance type' tells you if your student was absent or present, but it can tell you more as well. Your school can create a custom attendance type that also commuicates if the student was actively involved. For example, schools use the attendance types 'Present/Engaged' and 'Present/Not Engaged'.
- Appointments Resolved By. This chart shows how your student's requests for flex time appoitnments have been handled. If a student makes appointment requests they can be Scheduled, Cancelled, or marked as Ignore (meaning the staffer didn't do anything with the request).
The Details Tab
The Details tab allows you to drill down and learn more about your child's appointments. You can view a record of each appointment, including attendance and appointment comments if there are any available.
To look at your student's appointment and attendance details for just one course, choose one from the Selected Course dropdown. Only the courses that the student has been scheduled for in the date range will be available for selection.
The comments will now be visible in full under each course name (see example in the image below). You can also filter by comments, if you are looking for an appointment with a specific comment. Type part of the comment, or at least 1 character, in the Filter by Appointments Comments field to get comments that match. For example typing in 'math' will pull up any comments with math in them.
And here is the comment.
Student Groups
This tab gives you a simple list of all of the groups your student is a part of, or has been part of for the selected date range. It shows the group name, and the staffer who is heading it.
Grade Analysis
Please note: You will only see grades if your student's schools uses grades in Enriching Students®.
The Grade Analysis tab is a great way to see a correlation between your student's grades over time, and how they've been scheduled during Flex Time, as well as their hall pass use if your school uses Student Pass.
Within the selected date range, each line shows the teacher your student has been scheduled to during flex, and the department that teacher is in. It lists the starting grade, or the first grade uploaded, and the ending grade, or the last uploaded grade. If there is an increase, you will see a green upwards arrow under the Change heading. If the impact has been negative, you will see a red downwards arrow. The blue column section shows data about flex appointment, how many appointments were create by the staffer, student, and the total number of appointments. Then, the black column sections shows information about student passes; how many were created and how much instructional time was lost.
