Use this document for office staff, attendance clerks, and other support staff who may need to use functions in Enriching Students®. Below we explain how to do some commonly assigned tasks. Read the entire article, or click below to find a section:
SECTION 1
How to Find a Student
The absolute quickest way to find a student is to use the search bar at the top of your screen when you are logged in to Enriching Students, next to the 'Welcome: Your Name'. Simply type in the student's name or SIS ID, or even just part of it, and click Enter on your keyboard or click the magnifying glass icon.
This will pull up the student on the Appointment page, and you will be able to see where they are scheduled.
Additionally, if your school uses Student Pass to handle hall passes, from the Dashboard page click the All Passes tab. This will show any student currently our with a pass, and whether their pass is active or past due, or even pending or queued.
SECTION 2
Find & Schedule Unscheduled Students
Note: We encourage schools to use our Smart Schedule automation to automatically schedule unscheduled students. Talk with your team, and submit a support ticket with us to get started!
You may be tasked with finding all students who are not scheduled for flex, and scheduling them to a few common areas. If your school is not using automation for this process, r
1. In the navigation menu, select Unscheduled Students.
2. Select the date, and flex period you need to find unscheduled students for.
2. Next you will see a list of students appear under Unscheduled Students. To select all of them, check the All box at the top of the list. To select individual students you want to schedule, check the box next to their name. You can also choose to Filter by Graduation Years, selecting one or more graduation years to narrow down your results. In the image below, students who will graduate in 2029 were filtered out.
3. When you select a student, they will be moved to the Scheduled Students column. To remove a student, check the box next to their name again. To remove the whole list of students you’ve selected, check Remove All.
4. Now you need to choose where the students will be scheduled to. You will do this under the Schedule Appointment heading. You have a few options.
- First, you can toggle to Hide Courses With No Available Seats, or to only display adjusted offerings.

The text box is optionally adding a comment. If you want to add a note about why you’re scheduling these students for example, you could type that here.

Next, you can choose whether you want to schedule the students to a single staffer, or schedule each student to their individual homebase.
- If you choose to schedule them to a staffer, you will need t0 select the department and course next.
- The last option to select is the appointment type, which reflects what they are being scheduled for. Is it an Extra Help session? An Enrichment activity? These appointment types are created by your school.
- If there are not enough seats available for your selection, you can check the box to automatically increase the seat count.
5. Once you’ve made all of your selections, click Save, and these unscheduled students will now have an assigned place to go for Flex.
SECTION 3
Run Attendance Reports
As a staff member at your school, you may be tasked with running daily attendance report for flex.
In the navigation menu, select Analysis to find available reports.
On each report, you will see the option to print or download the report in different formats. We also give you the option to download the report as a CSV if you need this format.
Find out how to run some reports you may be tasked with below.
Find Absent Students, and Create Daily Attendance Reports
1. Under Attendance, select Daily Attendance.
2. Choose the date you want to get attendance records for. Next, choose the attendance type. If you are specifically looking for absent students, select Absent from this list.
If your school has multiple flex periods, you can choose one of these periods or All in the Periods dropdown. Finally, you can select a specific staffer whose absent students you want to find, or All staffers.
3. Click Create Report, and you will get a list of all absent students for the selections you’ve made. You can export report as a CSV, download it as a PDF, and print it.
You can use this same Daily Attendance report to view one or all attendance types for various staffers and periods.
Attendance Not Taken
If you need to quickly look up who has not yet taken attendance, select the Attendance Not Taken report.
1. Choose the date range by clicking in the label for a start date, choosing a date from the calendar, and then choosing an end date. Select the periods, and staffer you want to search. To get a list of all staffers who have not taken attendance in a specific date range, make sure you have All selected.
2. Click Create Report and your report will be generated. The report will show students scheduled to staffers who did not take attendance for them, with the students listed under each staffer. See an example in the image below.
Tardy Students
To get a list of all students marked as tardy, select the Tardy Students report.
1. First, choose the date or date range you want to find students for by clicking in the Start Date and End Date labels and choosing a date. Next, if your school has more than one flex period, select the ones you need, or select All to get all flex periods.
2. Finally, choose Create Report. This will generate a report that will show you all students marked tardy within the selected date range. They will be listed with the date and period they were scheduled, and the course.
