The email notifications page allows you to send groups of students and staffers an email at once, and manage the types of emails staffers can get and interact with. This page is divided into 2 sections:
SECTION 1
Send Email Notifications
Staff
Send Welcome Email
If you select Send Welcome Email under Staff, and click the button, all staffers will be sent a welcome email and their password will be reset. The welcome email is essentially an email with the staffer's their login information.
Students
Send Welcome Email
If you select Send Welcome Email under Students, and click the button, all students will be sent a welcome email and their password will be reset. The welcome email is essentially an email with the student's their login information.
Email 5 Day Student Schedule
If you select this option, you can choose to email all students a copy of their 5 day schedule. The first step is to select the date you want the '5 days' to start on. Click in the Start Date field, and select a date from the calendar.
Then, select the Email Schedules button.
Email Students Not Scheduled
Use this option if you want to email all students who aren't scheduled for a selected date or date range. First, select a single date or range of dates by clicking in the Start Date and End Date field and choosing dates from the calendar. Then, choose a period or multiple periods from the Select Periods dropdown. Just click a period name to select it. If you want to de-select a period, just click on it again.
Select the Email Unscheduled Students button to email all students who aren't scheduled for the selected date range and periods.
SECTION 2
Manage Staff Email Notifications
A school admin can manage which email notifications should only be received by admins. Additionally, an admin can decide if staff should be able to opt-out of receiving emails. This is done via the Admin, Manage Email Notifications page. Then, select the Manage Staff Email Notifications tab.
The email types a school can manage include:
- Appointment Request
- Automated Attendance Not Taken
- Daily School Report
- Email Address Bounced
An admin user can check the box under Admin Only for any of these emails to have them only go to admin users, and select which emails they want users to be able to opt-out of by checking the box under Can Opt Out. See a snapshot of what this page looks like in the image below.
