You have 3 options to quickly schedule students:
To start, go to the Appointments page.
SECTION 1
Quick Schedule Student to My Courses
Find the student you want to schedule, when you want to schedule them. On the date you want to schedule them, select the Create Appointment button.
Here you will see the heading My Courses. Under this heading, you will see the homeroom/advisory course, and subject matter course of the staffer you are subbing for. After the course name, you will see your current number of available seats. As you schedule students, you will see this number decrease.
To schedule a student to one of these courses, just click on the course name. The student will be scheduled to that course, with the default appointment type assigned to your course.
SECTION 2
Quick Schedule Student to Other Staffers
If you want to schedule a student quickly to another teacher, instead of selecting your staffer's courses, choose 'Quick Schedule' under Other Options.
When you select this option, a scheduling panel will slide out. Select the department and course you want to schedule the student to, and provide a comment if you like. You can also choose to lock the appointment, which will prevent other staffers from deleting it or scheduling the student somewhere else. Only the person creating the locked appointment, the person the student is scheduled to, or an admin can delete a locked appointment.
When you are finished, select Save and the student will be scheduled. If you don't want to schedule the student, you can select Cancel to return to the Appointments page without scheduling the student.
SECTION 3
Schedule a Group
First, go to the Appointments page. Select the group of students you want to schedule in the Select Group dropdown. On the day you want to schedule them, select the Group Actions button.
Under My Courses, you will see your staffer's homeroom and subject matter course, and the current number of available seats. To schedule the current group os students on the selected day, click on a course (see underlined in the image below).
Before all the students are scheduled, you will see a message that asks whether or not you want to overwrite existing appointments. If you select 'Yes', current appointments that the selected students have will be overwritten. Keep in mind that if you try to overwrite existing appointments and your school has 'frozen' appointments for the days, you won't be able to overwrite those appointments.
If you want to schedule unscheduled students, but not those with existing appointments, choose 'No'.
Now you will be able to see the scheduled students.
To remove all appointments for this group on a specific day, select Group Actions, but this time under Other Options select Clear Appointments.
