Under Configuration > Student Pass > Manage Locations, you will see a list of all current locations available for creating hall passes. To create a new location, select Add Location.
On this page, type in the name of the Location. Next, add the Default Time Allowed, the number of minutes that will be automatically selected with this location when a user creates a hall pass.
In the Max Active Passes field, type in the maximum number of passes that will be able to be out to this location at one time.
Check the Require a Reason for pass if your school has decided that a student needs to add a reason for requesting a pass in order to submit it. This is optional.
Lastly, to make this new location visible you will need to check Is Active before saving the new location. You will now see it displayed in the box on the Manage Locations page.

The documentation here states “In the Max Active Passes field, type in the maximum number of passes that will be able to be out to this location at one time.” It doesn't specify, but I would assume that the default value of “0” is actually no limit on max active passes the same way “0” never automatically returns a pass. Is that correct?
