This document describes the updates that are being released for January 2025.
Appointments
A bug was introduced in the last update that causes a user to "lose" their place on the page. Basically, the page is always scrolling to the top of the page, making it tedious to work with the same student.
A fix for that issue is part of this rollout.
Adjustments to Reports
Blocked Date for Staff
Previously, this report only displayed the blocked dates that were created specifically for a staffer. The report has been adjusted to include any blocked dates that impact a staffer, so blocked dates for staff, department and for the entire school are all displayed.
Staff One Day Report
This report has been adjusted to include:
- The staffer SIS Id
- The student SIS Id
- The student graduation year
We've also included a summary for each period to let you easily see how many appointments each staffer has:
Configuration
We've added two new school configuration values. Both of these can be found under Admin, Configuration, Staff Settings.
Only Admin May Use Mass Delete
We've heard from several schools that users haven't fully understood how the Mass Delete Appointments page work and they've wished they could make the page admin only. Because of the ramifications on the mass delete, and how easy it is to misuse; we are marking all school accounts as only allowing admins to use the mass delete page. If this isn't what you want, you'll have to change this new configuration value.
Only Admin May Use Mass Appointments
This is similar to the above feature, except it deals with using the Mass Appointments page. Unlike the Mass Delete page, this page will still be available to everyone; if you want to change the functionality, you'll have to edit the configuration value.
Bug Fix
The Imported Students Self Scheduling property under the Configuration, Student Settings section was saving, but not displaying correctly. This bug has been fixed.
Editing Students
There was an issue that prevented a student record from being saved if a homebase staffer hadn't been selected. This issue has been resolved, a student record can be adjusted without assigning them a homebase staffer.
Export Data
We've fixed an issue where the Guidance Counselor data wasn't being exported when selected.
We've also fixed an issue where the Instructor Sis Id wasn't being exported when selected.
Student Profile Displays Student Groups
The student profile page now has a new tab, Student Groups. This tab will allow you to see all the student groups a student has been assigned to.
The group name and staffer name are both displayed. Additionally, if the student group was created from the nightly data sync, you'll see the phrase "Imported" under the student group name. If the student group was created by the staffer, you'll see the phrase: "Created by Staffer".
Student Profile Displays Grade Analysis
The student profile page now has a new tab, Grade Analysis. This tab will allow you to see how grades have changed over time. Additionally, the page displays the number of appointments that were created by staff and a separate column that displays the number of appointments created by the student.
Daily School Report Email
This email has been updated to include the number of appointment requests that were made for the day being analyzed in the email.
Custom Automation Rules
We've added a feature that will allow an ES admin to view the description of the custom automation rules that have been created for the school. This can be found by going to Admin, Configuration, Custom Automation.
If you don't see your rules on the site, please give it a few days. Not seeing them doesn't mean they aren't in place, they are. It just means we haven't copied them to this location for you to be able to see.
Student Pass
Admin Can Prevent Requests
A new configuration value has been added that allows an admin to block all passes. This is found under Admin, Configuration, Student Pass, Pass Settings. There you will see the option "Stop Student Pass".
This is useful for emergency situations or before a fire-drill so that all the students can be accounted for.
