This document describes the updates that are being released

Deleting Adjusted Offerings

The deletion of adjusted offerings was somewhat inconsistent.  We've adjusted the process as follows:

• Future Adjusted Offerings can always be deleted
  • If there are any future appointments created against the adjusted offering, the future the appointments will be removed automatically.
• Current or past Adjusted Offerings without appointments
  • If there are no appointments, the adjusted offering can be deleted
• Current or past Adjusted Offerings with appointments
  • If any of the appointments have set the attendance, the adjusted offering will NOT be deleted
    • You will have to explicitly delete the appointments via another page.  Then the adjusted offering can be set.
  • If none of the appointments have had attendance taken, the adjusted offering will be deleted, along with the appointments.

The adjusted offering page still provides feedback regarding the number of appointments for specific dates/periods.  

Mark Periods as Preventing Scheduling

There are two new properties associated with each Flex Period:

Prevent Staff From Scheduling to Period - this defaults to false.  When set to true, staff cannot create appointments for this period.  

Prevent Student From Scheduling to Period - this defaults to false.  When set to true, students cannot create appointments or appointment requests for this period.

There are situations where schools want periods to only be available to staff to schedule to.  In the past, the only solution was to create an adjusted offering for each staffer and select the option to prevent students from scheduling.  

Staging Department

Currently, when data is imported from Clever/Classlink/One Roster, the import process looks at the "department" being provided via the import.  If it's missing in Enriching Students, it's then created.

This causes issues for schools, because often the department in the SIS is not what's wanted in ES.  This leads to a cycle of departments being deleted and recreated with each data sync.

This release is making a change to the import process.  Each school will now have a "STAGING" department.  When a new staffer is being imported, the staffer will be placed into the STAGING department.  It will then be up to a school admin to move the staff into the correct department. This allows the school to have total control over the departments in Enriching Students.

Staging vs. Unassigned

This raises the question, what's the difference between the Staging department and the Unassigned department? 

Staging Department

• Shows up throughout the site when staff are assigned
• Cannot be edited by the school
• Purpose is to temporarily hold new staff

Unassigned Department

• Only shows up on the Manage Departments page
• Purpose is to hold staff long-term.  When a staffer has been marked as inactive or soft-deleted, the department can be used to hold the staffer for historical reasons, but keep them from being part of any reports etc.

Students Page

Filter by Students With No Homeroom Staffer

You now have the option for filter Students on the Students page.  When you use the FIND STUDENTS BY feature, you will now see a "(None)" option under the Homebase filter.

Bug Fixes

Blocked Dates Page Showing Appointment Counts

The headers on this section of the Blocked Dates page weren't aligned correctly.  This has been resolved.

Blocked Dates Page Showing Wrong Course Name

When displaying appointment counts, the course name was sometimes incorrect.  This has been resolved.

Analysis Staff 1 Day Schedule Report

The Break Page on Staffer wasn't working correctly.  This has been resolved.

Student Pass Analysis Report Fixes

The following bugs were fixed for these reports:

Late Returning Students Report

• First name of student was not displaying
• Destinations are only showing for locations, but not for staff

Passes Issued by Staffer

• Data was not sorting by student name

Passes Issued For Location

• Destinations are only showing for locations, but not for staff

Student Passes Usage

• Time is on GMT, not in school time zone
